Band Camp is coming...

Rookie Camp is July 11 & 13 from 8am-10am. If you are an incoming freshman or a new band student who has not marched with us before, this is when your band camp starts. July 12 & 14 we will have full band camp during the evening hours 6pm-9pm and beginning July 18th everyday camp. Band camp is required and if for any reason your student will not make a day, please inform the directors. Paula Maddox

Instructions for band camp...

Make sure your student arrives in plenty of time to go to the band room, drop off their instrument case, and get to the field on time. Students will go directly to the field unless otherwise instructed by the drum majors or directors. Paula Maddox

Water for band camp...

Please make sure your student brings plenty of water for band camp. Water is not provided. It is very important to encourage your student to stay hydrated during camp time. Our directors will be giving ample opportunity for every student to take water breaks. Encourage your student to take advantage of this as well as seek some shade during the break time. Also you may want to consider sending a hand towel with your student so that they can pour cold water on it and place the towel around the back of their neck. If you have any questions regarding camp, please do not hesitate to ask. Paula Maddox

Rain and band camp...

In the event of rain during band camp, band camp still takes place. The students use every available space within the school to practice.

Band Registration...

Save the Date July 19 @ 6:00 in the OMHS Cafeteria.

Most importantly, we will need LOTS of volunteers for these days. It doesn't matter if you've never done it before, we can train you quickly. It also doesn't matter if you think you can sew. There will be plenty of jobs to do and our sewing consists of hemming pants and sleeves, that's all. Please let me know if and when you can help Doreen Thomas Uniform Chair
