OMHS Band DVD 2011-2012

Over 10 months in the making, the 2011-2012 OMHS Band DVD Special 2-Disk Set is almost ready for release! Due to an extra amount of content this year, the DVD is being released in a special-edition 2-Disk Set and contains over 3 hours and 7 GB of content including a final interview with retiring Band Director Jim Duren. Cliff Brane sat down with Mr. Duren at the OMHS PAC on April 5, 2012 and their almost 25-minute conversation covered a wide range of subjects including his early years at Gordo HS, his University of Alabama experiences, and his work at Mountain Brook, Pelham and culminating at Oak Mountain. You will not want to miss seeing this once in a lifetime special treat.

Other content on the 2-Disk DVD set includes a special GoPro Edition of the Marching Show with 13 different camera angles over 8 different performances synchronized like you have never seen it before... from the eyes of the performers. You get an "on the field" visual experience from the "Tuba" cam, the "Trombone" cam, the "Snare" Cam and many more that is really amazing. Also the marching competition awards, the concert performances at the PAC, a very special Edited Marching Show from all the field performances, the Class of 2012 Special Presentation, and over 530 photos taken by Lydia Hendrix all set to music in 6 Slideshows, a Season Highlights video montage , a stands version of Basket Case!, and much more!

Pre-orders will be taken the nights of the Jazz and Percussion concerts on May 1st and the Wind Ensemble and Symphonic concerts on May 3rd with delivery planned for the night of the band banquet on May 11th. I also plan to make these available at Mr. Duren's Reception on May 20th.
